People Audit

What is a people audit?

redpepper uses people audits to study new, incoming clients or returning clients to prepare for meetings and project proposals. It is a helpful tool for the team to understand how the client works best and what type of experience they have. Additionally, including interesting facts helps find common ground with the client.

How To

When you’re looking at a client’s profile on LinkedIn or on their company website analyze it, don’t just copy and paste what is listed. This is a way to get to know the client instead of just reading what’s written online!

People Audits

  1. Start with LinkedIn
  2. Search given client

  3. Goal: understand the client’s work experience, skill set, and DiSC type

  4. Follow the template provided below for best information to include on their profile: â€‹

Client Name: (Hyperlinked to their LinkedIn profile)

        *Include photo of client*

Disc Type

-Based off their profile and past experiences

-Or you can leave it blank and Alyssa can add it in after using the Crystal Knows extension

(This is more challenging with new clients and usually easier to include with returning clients)

Job Title

-Job Function

-Skill-sets from job

Previous Work Experience:

-Job title, company, (years worked there)

-Job function

*Doesn’t have to be every job listed on their profile, list jobs the client worked at for 2+ years*

Education:

-Include college and major

-Include higher education, if applicable

Additional:

-Study their profile, pull out interesting information i.e.) study abroad experience, hobbies

Here you can find examples of people audits that have already been completed. You can format people audits in a similar style!

Be sure to add your assignments to the People Audit Database so that future interns (and your mentors) can have more examples to look back on.
