redpepper’s YouTube channel is a great platform for showcasing our work and our culture. The videos include topics such “Touch on Tech”, “Garage” videos or “redbits.” These videos rock and flow with ease. But to get there takes, there are some nitty gritty details that go into it.
Once Alyssa, Jesse or Samara make you an admin on the Youtube channel you’ll be all set to get kick-started on the steps below.

Step 1: Download the video (If the video is already uploaded on the channel, skip to Step 6)
→ Let the video download for about 5 to 10 minutes, sometimes it takes longer than you
think!
Step 2: Look for the video icon on the right hand side and upload
→ Again, wait 5 to 10 minutes for the video to fully upload
Step 3: Make the video public
Step 4: Add to specified “playlist” i.e. “Touch on Tech” or “redbit”
Step 5: Attach the customized thumbnail given to you
Step 6: Click “edit video” on the bottom right hand side

Step 7: Looking at the headers, click “Subtitles/CC”

Step 8: Click “English Automatic”
​

Step 9: Click “Edit” on the right-hand side
Step 10: Listen carefully to the video and follow the pre-made subtitles
Step 11: Fix misspellings and punctuation when needed
Step 12: Double check! Listen through a second time to make sure you didn’t miss anything
Step 13: Click “Publish” on the right-hand side

Step 14: Make sure there are two options under subtitles now, “English automatic” and “English”

Step 15: Click “English automatic” again
Step 16: Click “Unpublish” on the right-hand side
Step 17: Save changes
Step 18: Download subtitle file

Step 19: Save as “.srt” version
Step 20: Slack file to Jesse, Alyssa or Samara and you’re all set!
